Mass for the Dead is available now for iOS and Android

The game has proven to be popular since it released in Japan

Mass for the Dead was announced three weeks ago as the latest addition to Crunchyroll’s growing roster of published video games.

Now, the RPG based on the anime Overlord is available for both iOS and Android in North America, Oceania

If you’re an avid fan of the anime you might already know that this game originally launched in Japan last year, where it has since accumulated 4 million downloads since.

Folks have clearly been excited to play the English version too with 100,000 combined pre-registrants and social media followers.

That means that the target for the pre-release campaign has been hit so players can expect to receive 1000 Chaos Stones once they install the game.

These will be used to summon the various Overlord characters that you’ll be collecting to add to your team.

The game itself will see players playing assembling a team of four characters to battle their way through the story mode.

The battles themselves will be turn-based though you’ll be able to enable an auto mode and increase the speed by up to 2 times for faster grinding.

Though there’s no PVP you will be able to play cooperatively with up to 4 other players to tackle powerful foes.

Aside from co-op, you’ll also be able to challenge your pals in a variety of competitions.

Mass for the Dead is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It’s a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
