Towards the end of July, we learned that Genshin Impact would be heading for iOS and Android sometime before October. Today it has been revealed that it will launch for both platforms – as well as PC – on 28th September with pre-registering available now for both.
Perhaps one of the most highly anticipated games this year on mobile, Genshin Impact will see players explore a vast open-world either on their lonesome or in co-op with up to four of their pals. This will be cross-platform too so you’ll also be able to team up with PC players on launch and PS4 users when the game arrives on the console.
Players will take on the role of the Traveler in this action-RPG and will set off on a journey to find their lost sibling. Along the way, they’ll meet a plethora of characters alongside engaging in battles that are based around different elements.
It takes place in the region of Teyvat and on launch players will be able to explore two of its seven major cities, Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor. Each of these promises to have its own feel, stories, enemies and treasures. Being a live-service style game, players can also expect more cities, stories and characters to arrive in future updates post-launch.
Players can now invite their friends to pre-register for the game via the game’s official website. This will allow them to participate in the pre-registration campaign that promises a tonne of rewards for each milestone that is reached.
